Health & Safety

Reliance provides a healthy and safe workplace by striving for "No injuries" to our employees, contractors and visitors.

NO INJURIES

The culture that even one injury is too many is behind the company’s “No Injuries” goal.

This safety initiative introduced in April 2009 aims to achieve no injuries to employees, contractors, customers and visitors by December 2010.

The "No Injuries" philosophy is led by General Manager Andrew Gray, and aims to change perceptions and behaviours from the historical view that injuries will happen.

Health & Safety Principles

  • All injuries are preventable
  • Everyone is responsible for preventing injuries
  • Employee involvement is essential
  • Managers and supervisors are accountable for preventing injuries
  • Working safely is a condition of employment
  • Training everyone to work safely is essential
  • Plan before you work
  • All incidents, near misses and hazards must be reported and acted upon

Safety behavior is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at work and at home.
